Thanks, Laura. I know what you mean. I’ve had beef stroganoff with tomato paste, too. That’s one good recipe I may try soon. I love your suggestion of braised beef chuck. Do you have a post? Let me know and I’ll try yours, too.

Weirdly, when I was growing up, my mom’s stroganoff was made with braised beef chuck and had tomato paste in it(!). It wasn’t until I got older that I realized how incredibly strange (but delicious) this was. But I’ll take it any way!
