I am not certain how this originated from Tarlac, my hometown. But it has flavors which most Filipinos and Kapampangans from my home province like-- sweet. The sweetened flavors come from the pineapple juice marinade and pineapple chunks. A slow simmer yields a delightful entree that is great for a weeknight or family meal on weekends.]]></description>
