I am so happy to discover that the matcha green tea recipe your version is 100% line by line the same as the Molly Katzen's Moosewood biscotti recipe I have been using in the past 15 years. Molly's recipe was for Date Hazelnut Chocolate Chip biscotti. I only replaced the hazelnut part with matcha powder and for my first try eliminated the date, but continue with chocolate chip. It was great! I will use the date in my second try. I am a lazy cook when it comes to clean up, so I changed the order of the mixing so that I only use one pot. I mixed the sugar and butter until they are white and fluffy, add the vanilla and eggs, after a while add the salt and baking powder, last I dump the flour. It turned perfectly. I also reduced the sugar to 2/3 since I am adding chocolate chips. Thanks Betty Ann!

Thanks, Domenica. What a treat to have you visit the blog. Your new cookbook "Ciao Biscotti" is the best. This green tea biscotti was a hit with my family at the first try. I can't wait to bake more of your biscotti recipes. My boys already bookmarked what they want. See you soon at the next food events :-)

Hi Betty Ann! What a lovely post about the green tea biscotti. I wasn't sure how that recipe would turn out when I was testing it, but my kids loved it. Glad to hear it was a hit with your family as well. It was great to catch up with you at IACP. Hope we see each other again before too long. Best to you and yours, D
